Service Fees

Hill Country Endocrinology is a direct specialty care practice, which means we DO NOT accept or bill health insurance.

All patients require an initial consultation with Dr. George. During this consultation, you and the care team will decide your care plan and decide whether the membership would be the right option for you.

Greater than one (1) visit a year requires enrollment in the membership.

We believe in fostering a strong doctor-patient relationship and want to make sure you receive the care and attention you deserve.

Please be advised that a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of $100.00 is required to schedule a new consultation, and this will be applied to your initial consultation fee. If you cancel or reschedule, the $100.00 will remain on your account as a credit that can be utilized in the future.

If you have a health savings account (HSA), you may be able to use those funds to pay your fees. You may still use your health insurance to pay for services provided by outside vendors for labs, imaging, medications, and durable medical equipment.

For those patients that require less than 1 visits a year, you can opt to pay per visit. Non-membership patients will be required to communicate ONLY during visits. Any forms, CGMS, prior authorization, or communication outside the visit will be charged separately. Any medication adjustment requires a visit.

Follow-up visits are generally 20-40 minutes in duration. This is limited to patients who ONLY require 1 follow-up a year!

  • CGM download/interpretation: $50.00
  • Forms, Letters, and Prior Authorizations: $30.00
  • All communication outside of scheduled visits may also be charged.

MEMBERSHIPS

In a direct care practice, patients typically pay a membership fee directly to the healthcare provider in exchange for ENHANCED access to services. This model aims to create a more direct and personalized relationship between patients and healthcare providers, but removing the restrictions placed by the insurance company.

The membership fee covers a range of services, which include unlimited office visits, extended appointment times, same-day or next-day appointments, and sometimes additional services like telemedicine consultations/phone consultations. You get text messaging access to our Doctor and experience individualized care.

By having a membership-based system, direct care practices can focus on providing quality care without the constraints of insurance bureaucracy.

Forms and CGMS downloads are also included for our members. All of our members will also get access to our Nutrition Subscription for weekly healthy recipes curated by professional nutritionists. All-inclusive access to Dr. George for a low monthly cost.

We only accept a limited number of members to our practice. ALL PATIENTS requiring more than 1 visit a year are required to enroll in a membership.
